Charlie is growing up so quick :)

It has happen so much in Chairlies life so i will update you on what he has been up to.

Charlie is now a teenage boy (or trying to be one) with teenage behaviours and a teenage mood, but sometimes he remember that life is so much easier if he still is behaving like a puppy and actually listen to the people that are reponsiblie for his upbrining.

In about two weeks Charlie will get his passport :) so now we can take him with us when going away. well the plan is to drive to UK this summer and to take him with us. I do not want to fly with him, he is too big to be in the cabin and i do not want him to spend two hours alone in the back.

A few nights ago we did what we normally do, let him out for a wee, close the door so we don't get eaten by mosquitos and then he will come in. But this time due to the teenage life he decided to run off. I spent an hour in the forest in my slippers trying to find him, when i get back he is back and been told off. Hopefully he will think twice before doing that again.

Another thing that has to do with his teenage years is that we have to keep changing our bedding once a day cause of his mess he makes on them.

We are now trying to make him sleep in his own bed and not with us.

And of course he has been playing with his half brother Theo. They do play really well, even if it is full on all the time.

Theo tired :)

The joy of having a dog

The last two weeks we have had doubts, doubts of what to do with our sweet little baby.

We started to let him have the whole apartment when we are at work. the first week he was really good, nothing was eaten nor destroyed.

Then he started to chew the walls, the newspaper and moving around furniture.

One day when we got home he had eaten the internet and lamp cable. The funny part with this,, if you need to find one, was that he had put the ends of the cables next to eachother on a shelf. Like he wanted to say ' look how good i am'.
Yesterday when we got home he had eaten a card for the digital box and then later on that day he had the remote, leaving us with at that moment just one channel to watch

We will soon be in the house and this behaviour is not aloud in there. I am spraying everything with spray that dog is suppose not to like, he licks it and don't care at all.
What to do....what to do....??

Letting us now...

Charlie is now in his own little way letting us know when he wants food and water. He kicks the bowls. The big one for food and the small one for water. The water one we of course fill up if it is empty, but if we would fill up the food bowl at everytime, he would be rolling around. It is good we exercise him a lot :)

Another day in Charlies life

As you might see when you read Charlies blog, there is not much happening at the moment.

His life goes on like normal. Yesterday we went to the dog club :) meeting his halfbrother Theo. They play so well, and you will see that on the pictures.

We are happy that Charlie is growing so well and he is now 16 kg, i can not lift him up with just one hand anynmore:)

Because of what Charlie experienced when the vet cut his nails the first time, we are having difficulties cutting his nails. What we do now is filing them, which is no problem. Have to do one paw at the time and it takes a bit longer, but maybe when he get use to someone holding his paws we might be able to cut them again soon.

Ice and friends

Today we went for a long walk to a castle near where we live, a walk that took about 2,5 hours return. It was really nice and when we reached the castle Charlie had his first steps on ice, which it seemd he did not mind at all, he had one minor slip but was quick up and licking the ice again :)

He is still of course growing and showing us that we can not relax a second because you never know what he will do. At the moment until the house we are building is done we live a bit smaller since january 1st. So running his mad 5 around this place is a new experience evry time, not knowing what he will knock over.

As usual every saturday we go to our dog club :) to meet his half brother Theo, you will see him at the photos. You will also see a few other friends of Charlies, Theo and Charlies girlfriend Wilma a lovely golden retriver, that lets them do almost whatever to her.

Charlie to the right
We are at the moment thinking of having a bitch, just need to find a really nice one and a bit more time. But we would love to have two.
Looking at all the staff puppies for sale makes you want one they are so cute.

News from the vet and no day is the same

Charlie is growing like nothing. He is learning a lot and getting to be a really nice dog. But of course he has his moments of madness :)

We went to england for the holidays and left Charlie in sweden with friends, we missed him so much. So i won't leave him again.
Yesterday we went to the vet for his second rabise injection. Now we have to wait 120 days for the blood test and then when he pass that we have the passport.

So the plan for summer is to take him with us on holiday.

Charlie has learned to walk really nice next to daddy without his lead, next to mummy he is still a bit like a kid that think he can do what he want, but slowley we are getting better there as well.

We went to the vet in the beginning of december and it looks like we have a staffordshirebullterrier with no bulls. She said the one might drop but not the other. I will still give it a bit of time but he is 6 months soon. I am quite upset about that, i wanted and hoped that he would be shown and hopefully grow into a champion dog. Although he is still the baby i love and it will make no difference in the end, but you do get upset.

In this writing minute Charlie just had one of his mad 5, it is amazing what they do, just run around like mad, banging his head against everything just shake him self and then continue :)
Charlie also have got some new friends, we have changed place for the fishtank it is now a bit lower and Charlie can sit and look at them, it seems he has something against the shark, that is the one he like to paw most, to Charlies dissapointment the shark seems not to care at all.
Charlie also spends his days looking out the window, barking at everything, and i mean everything, a leaf flying in the wind, his on reflection in the glass, and of course the people walking past.

If he could he would take the tree down
