Time flys and Charlie grows so quick

It has been awhile since i had time to write and since last Charlie has got his first diploma and he is growing so fast.

Every saturday we meet Charlies halfbrother Theo and let them run around playing for half hour. Then Chalie are so tired the rest of the day.

We have for the last four sundays been to a puppycourse. Where Charlie and i have learned to walk nicely on the lead, not jump at strangers, sit with other dogs without jumping around and try to hug and kiss. Most things are working quite nice. Not perfect but we still have time.

All the other dogs on the course just did as asked and sat there, maybe that could be nice from time to time but in the end i like to work with Charlie, have time together and have a goal with our training.

Charlie is really growing quick and is a dog i love to bits. His personality is lovely and sometime you can't even get angry at him when you see the effort he goes through to do things he knows he can't do. When you see him throwing toys to places he can't go.

He still loves the bath and hates the rain. the first snow he absolutley loved. He has learned to jum up on the door when he want to go out and i think he did it twice an hour atleast when it was snowing.

I was told when we bought the dog that they don't like snow and they won't have a bath. We proved that wrong.

Growing fast, a lady for dinner and training booked

In a few weeks Charlie is four months, it goes so quick and you can really see him growing. He is about 8,5 kg and soon to heavy to carry down the stairs.

Not long ago Charlie had a lady to visit. She is a bit older and totally ignored him at the beginning. She soften up a bit but Charlie got too tough with her so they couldn't play that much.

A few days later he got it back when we met a boxer on one of our walks, he knew he wasn't so big then :) poor thing.

One thing that does amaze me is that we can't get him out to have a wee when its raining, but when in the bath he won't get out. Could be the diference in cold and warm, but i don't think i ever seen a dog trying to jump in the bath with you when having a shower.

On the 9th of november we are starting a training course for puppies. The main thing i like to learn now is to make him come to us when we call him. Today everything else is more exiting when we are out.

But he is doing good progress in the rest of the training we do, paw, sit, stay and down. He also is learning off and leave. Not that good yet but we are trying :)
I never thought it was going to be this much fun having a dog, yes of course there is a lot of work to, but the fun make that easier. So much love Charlie gives you is amazing.

The apartment smells... :)

We decided to try some different food and that paid in the form of farts. And smelly ones.

Now Charlie has his own chef. He gets rice, boild potatoes and carrots and the special of the day chicken or fish + his normal food of course. Believe it or not he does not fart as much anymore.

Last wednesday Charlie got his last injection. The vet also cut one of his nails, so he yelped and bled, we now have a big job to get him used to his nails being cut nicely.

He is getting so comfortable and really loves it in his crate, at the moment he is laying on his back snoring in there.

He his making good progress in learning sit, stay, down and come. Walking better on his lead and not eating as much of the ground anymore. But he is still a puppy.

One thing we are really proud of is that Charlie now lets us know when he needs to go out. He sits by the door and in the morning he wakes you up by licking your face.

The other day dad was in the bath, Charlie as curious as he is wanted to get in. I lift him up and put him in. He loved it! When i took him out and tried to dry him he jumped off my lap run into the bathroom trying to get in again :)
Charlie has found a new favourite toy, empty bottles. Such noise, but he loves it. He still has his crazy moments running from one side to another in the livingroom.

Happy Birthday 12 weeks on wednesday :) ...

..... we celebrate by getting the second shot.

Wow, is a word that comes to mind. A lot of work but also alot of fun. The man of the house has already made his position as the leader of the pack, me and Charlie have still not really agreed that i am above and that Charlie is number three.

Training is a big part of the everyday routine. Sit and stay, paw and down (lay) is what is getting thougt at the moment. And he is so good in his crate.

Not eating duck poo, licking every disgusting thing on the ground is a normal conversation while out on walks.

He is such a lovley dog with a big personality. And he grows so quick. Charlie is now 6,5 kilos :)

You do hear all different kind of comments when out, most people thinks it is a pitbull, others can't understand why you choose this kind of breed. Then there are them that understand why.

But after a second looking in his big brown eyes they all smile and think he is soooo sweet and yes he his, when he eats your papper, chew of the internet cable and runs around mad as nothing i ever seen before. I have it on video so i will try to get it on here.
At the end of the day when he falls a sleep next to you, you wouldn't have it any other way.

Another week with fun and joy (and alot of the NO! word :) )

On the saturday Charlie felt alot better and you could not see he had been so poor. The week gone have been most fun, but there is a word being said a few times a day and that word is NO! he is getting alot better with the biting and we had nearly the whole week without and poo and wee inside. He has been a good boy :)He has his own toilet outside now where he runs to everytime. Around the corner up a small hill underneath a tree.
We have cage traind him alot so he will feel safe. He has learned sit really well and to eat the treat from your hand nicely. He is also really good when we take him in the car.
We walked him down to the park and let him of the lead. So much fun! After that he was tired. As you can see on the photo above he laid down and gave up :)
Today we took him to Ängbybadet, he had a small feel of the water and the sand.
At the moment everything on the ground is a meal more disgusting = more delicious it seems like.
Yesterday he had his first shower and he was so good. Tried to get out of the bath but no biting.
I have put more photos on the left for you to see, enjoy!

Pictures of his Mum and Dad

First week home

September the 15th we went to Örebro to pick the new member up. A long drive but worth it :)
Charlie was coming home, Cornelius which is his birthname we are keeping but had to have a shorter easier name so we decided for Charlie.

The first days went on really good, slept all night eating as he should and doing what a puppy does. Chewing on things have a toilet indoors and sleeping a lot.

The night between thursday and friday he went really poor. Diarrhea and throwing up. It was the new food tha he couldn't digest it properly. We are now back on the first puppy food.
Must say it was no fun at all seeing him be that ill, nothing you can do really and wondering what could be wrong with him. He is so small and helpless.

He didn't really eat or drink, last night he had some dry food and water and put a big smile on us seeing that he is getting better.
